We were very thorough in our search for a contractor to take on a major renovation of our 1910 Wardman-style row house. Of the five companies we interviewed, DuPont’s attention to detail, responsiveness, and experience set them apart. They made the overwhelming process feel entirely manageable—dare I say, even easy? Where we had a vision, they respected it. Where we didn’t, they stepped in with their expert opinions. This easy give-and-take made for a seamless design experience all around. When it came to construction, we had been cautioned by friends and family to be on the lookout for unreliable contractors—common in similar remodels—but we never experienced that with DuPont. To the contrary, Ali and his team were consummate professionals, going above and beyond to ensure everything met our satisfaction. They kept us informed throughout the entire process, from permitting to the final punch list. Our once-small and barely functional kitchen is now the heart of our home. The tile and quartz were expertly installed. Don’t just take my word for it: even a competitor remarked that it was some of the best work they had seen in a long time. No longer do we worry about our original pine floors splintering and sagging. The beautiful re-engineered oak on the first floor now creates a warm, cozy space. Our custom mudroom has become a true extension of our living area. Our unfinished basement has been transformed into a bright, inviting family room complete with built-ins. My spouse and I still can’t believe how much time we spend in what was once a dark, dreary space where nail studs poked through the floor. The full bath they added is not just functional but also stunningly beautiful. The laundry room, with its custom cabinetry and utility sink, is a lovely finishing touch. Ali, Ozzy, and the team at DuPont Design did a masterful job revitalizing our home while respecting its original character.
